ACT Policing’s Crime Targeting Team has arrested a 17-year-old Ainslie juvenile after executing a search warrant at a residence in Lyneham yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, March 14).

Police will allege that between 8.15am and 5.10pm on Monday, March 5, the young person stole items from a home in Downer.

During the warrant, detectives seized several items believed to be linked to at least four other burglaries. The value of the items seized is approximately $20,000.

The young person was arrested and taken to the ACT Watch House where he was charged with burglary and theft. Police expect to lay further charges in relation to the property located during the search warrant.

The young person will face the ACT Childrens Court this morning where bail will be apposed by police.
