I know how there are members of the community that dislike Super Schools (Preschool to Year 10). Well without any consultation, the ACT Government has decided to give Kaleen a Preschool to Year 21 school.

My evidence is the below tender:
Tender Number: 2009.0302.906
Description: BER Project: Structural Steel: Kaleen – P21

Evidence that I am not making the story up, can be found at:

[We here at Riot, although not immune ourselves, do love a good typo, particularly a Governmental one. Feel free to add sightings of other resent top typos, in addition to witticisms on this one, in the comments.]

I thought people from Kaleen would 21 years to get through a basic education.

Hey, I grew up in Kaleen!

You proved your point quite eloquently there, unless that was intentional 😛

I made a typo, and figured I’d turn it into a joke. Glad it made you all so happy!

Sorry, Primary Schools for the 21st century. Got my programs mixed up. 😉

Thumper is right, P21 is simply an abbreviation of the governments Primary Schools for the 21st century (P21) element of Building the Education Revolution (BER) program.

I can see the funny side though so many confusing abbreviations.

Erm, I think this post is worse than ‘making similar mistakes during the very act of making the criticism’, as Al so eloquently put it.

P21 is part of the Fed’s building the Education Revolution program, called Primary Schools for the 21st century.

oops!

I’ll take the blame for the ‘resent/recent’ debacle and should have clarified that the bracketed comment was the Riot editor’s and not the poster’s (TP 3000)

But we take the point 😉

The problem with chucking off about this stuff is of course the risk of making similar mistakes during the very act of making the criticism (and I have been caught out myself).

“Resent”? Thereby proving the above claim about not being immune.

Oh and if I am to be the uber pedant, “members of the community WHO dislike…” and an extra comma after “Well” wouldn’t have hurt.

😛
