So you thought the Centenary was over? It’s revving up again to take us out of the year!

The Spin festival has a huge lineup of rotationally based events to keep you happy and excited.

Chief Minister Gallagher launched it today:

Chief Minister, Katy Gallagher, today launched SPIN: Canberra’s Weekends on Wheels, the Centenary of Canberra program showcasing the city’s love of all things that spin throughout four packed weekends.

“The Centenary of Canberra program has been a success to-date and SPIN certainly promises to extend the celebration in a range of fun and interesting ways,” the Chief Minister said.

“The Canberra Centenary year is designed to provide activities to all members of our community and the SPIN festival will provide a fun way for those with an interest in all things that spin to get involved in the celebration.

The SPIN festival includes events like Windscreen, a video art piece about six Canberra lovers from different car subcultures, the Museum of the Long Weekend caravan gathering, and Hub Capital, six event hubs located all over Canberra, indicate the diversity of the community-led spinning activity that made up the program.

A very clever car show, but how in God’s name did you organise the closure of bloody near every access road at the same time?

They would have contracted that part out to the cyclists. If you want a major thoroughfare shut down fast…………

Look, I’m sorry ACT Gov.
