Nicola Roxon has announced that Mark Cormack, head of ACT Health has been appointed the CEO of Health Workforce Australia. He’s off to live the high life in Adelaide. There doesn’t appear to be any news on his replacement, but at least Katy has congratulated him on the appointment.

I know Mark reasonably well. I always found him to be very professional. I’d hate to do the job he’s been doing, and I’m not surprised that hed’d opt out for something a bit less stressful.

Fifty bucks says the next CEO cops the same crap from the same posters.

OMG, surely it’ll become Health Workfarce Australia under his CEOship.

There’s the mental health facility that he discovered would not fit on the site, even though they’d had the plans in place for well over a year. A new proposal has just hit the streets.

Then there was the pay parking farce – taxpayers are around $1m out of pocket with absolutely nothing to show. This million bucks was spent on concreting over parking spaces to put in the machines, install and then remove them, put up fences all around each of the car parks, signage and all the other works associated with the abandoned project.

And do any heads roll? Katies? Mark Cormack’s? Nope, nothing.

See you Mark, don’t let the door hit you on the arse on your way out.

Think of all those Woden hospital changes brought in under Cormack to save money. Maybe some of the silly ones will change back to something more sensible.

My experience with Mark Cormack was that he promised a lot, but actually delivered SFA. Hope the next CEO is better but not holding my breath.
