Keeping it in the family Queanbo style?

[First filed: December 05, 2008 @ 11:47]

The ABC reports that three people have been arrested over the death of Queanbeyan’s Danny Ralph in March.

“Police believe he had been assaulted shortly after leaving a pub in Monaro Street.

Strike force detectives today arrested a man and two women during dawn raids on two houses in Queanbeyan.

A 25-year-old man and two women aged 20 and 50 – all from same family – are being questioned by police.”

UPDATED: News has more on this:

Benjamin Wayne Holcroft, 25, has been charged with his murder.

Teneeka Waine Beaudean, 20, and Kodie Rozilannie Beaudean, 50, have been charged with being accessaries after the fact.

Teneeka will now apparently give birth in prison, after RiotACT favourite Magistrate Brian Van Zuylen formally denied bail. One hell of a way to start a life.

At the risk of seeming a snob the child might have a better chance if a way can be found to stop the family choosing its name.

Should the Beaudean family be allowed to name their next generation?

LOL,Comments in here won’t assist the lawyers. They already had that worked out and were telling friends to back them up on it before they got arrested.

Bottom line is they got caught and will now be dealt with by law,,,no matter what anybody says.

Hello, mouth on a stick here ….

Thanks S4anta!

online,

he isn’t going to be your mate if the prosecution uses all the info you have given.

well done. would have been easier to hand yourself to them as a key witness.

Berlina,

You made me vomit a little in my mouth.

*word* of advice goddamnit, not ‘work’

But all you people think you know everything about everyone because of what you’ve heard or read!

And those people who are talking about their names like it even matters…are very sad and should really get a life!

I am not standing up for anyone because what Ben done was wrong… But no-one knows the whole story…

All I know is there are 2 little boys who have now lost there father… and a newborn who was born in jail and a man that has lost his life for reasons none of you know anything about..

To ‘online’: that’s twice today that you’ve said your mate actually did kill the victim. His defence lawyer must realy love you and you are a godsend for the prosecution. A work of advice: Shhhhhhhhhhhh……

VYBerlinaV8_the_one_they_all_copy1:19 pm 13 Jan 09

Hey, if you’re a lawyer and your reading this in preparation for the court case, I’m thinking about you. And I’m naked.

nice work establishing motive for the prosecution online, do you think the family will thank you for that?

Best leave it to their defence lawyers.

I too used to jump off the Queanbeyan suspension bridge and hit my head on submerged trolleys.

Do you think sex offenders & people who do crimes along those lines deserve to be alive? but killing someone if they deserved it doesnt make you innocent I do believe you should still do time for it.

Leave it off. Sex Offenders are only found to be by LAW.
We cannot all go around killing people then screaming we did it because they were a sex offender.
If Danny did something 15 years ago then why didn’t Cody go to the police and have him charged??

Bottom line is Ben killed a man. Not just killed, but stalked and threatened and followed him around waiting for the chance.
Taneeka knew at the time and I gather Cody found out later….BUT all 3 covered it up and hid it and now they have to pay for it.

No matter if they were nice people or not. Alot of people thought Danny was a nice bloke too. I don’t think Danny deserved to die even though I didn’t like him. I definately don’t think he should have been bashed to death and then stabbed and thrown in the river.
That’s some nasty ass shit and Queanbeyan can do without it.

Well that’s a turn around from your earlier post jesticle, where you seemed to be judging the victim while excusing the ‘alledged’ murderer and his alleged accomplices.

Define Sex offender for me please. If we’re talking people that sexually abuse children, or rape someone then I’d happily ‘throw the switch’ myself. It’s a very murky area that needs a lot of proof before any action is taken. Sex offenders can ruin lives (of almost everybody involved). If we are to ruin theirs, we need to make sure they are actually guilty of the offence first. While the court system is not perfect, it’s all we have. Murder is just unacceptable – plain and simple.

Do you think sex offenders & people who do crimes along those lines deserve to be alive? but killing someone if they deserved it doesnt make you innocent I do believe you should still do time for it.

*chuckle*

Well, that’s right!

a lot of people are only alive because it is illegal to kill them

No matter what the victim may or may not have done, I am glad we live in a nation that says murder is not acceptable and there are consequences for murdering. Most of us probably never get what we ‘deserve’ and I suspect that this is quite fortunate.

“Are the killers innocent if the victim ‘deserved it’?”

Would that include making fun of their name?

Wait, Torrens is full of bogans now? Damn. Hope it wasn’t me moving in to the neighbourhood. I mean, I don’t exactly have a car on blocks out the front but have been known to get a tattoo and listen to Cold Chisel on the odd occasion. I always figured we were “on the border”, so to speak – part of Woden but everything past us is part of the Tuggeranong valley.

VYBerlinaV8_the_one_they_all_copy10:59 pm 20 Dec 08

Jesticle – you’re not doing anyone any favours with comments like that. Are the killers innocent if the victim ‘deserved it’?

You are all very sad people you have no idea what this family has been through and you sit here judging them I have known this family most of my life and they are good people and although they have these charges against them no one knows the reason behind any of this, for all you know the victim may have deserved it, you all have to learn not to judge its been said before innocent until proven otherwise.

Hey GB, the Appaloosa stud rang – they’d like their high horse back…..

Hey Dell, I don’t know the Beaudean family from a bar of soap. I do know someone murdered this guy, and we need to find out who did it. And if the Beaudeans had a hand in it, well justice should prevail.

What we don’t need is a bunch of name-callers attacking the family because they don’t like their names.

Unfortunately, that’s what you’re likely to get here.

“How would you feel if that was you?”

I would feel like changing my name.

For everyone in here that thinks that because they have read something it must be true.
You all should be ashamed of yourselves, I am appalled and disgusted in the majority of you., put yourself in their shoes. I have a feeling that you all are from another country because in Australia we are meant to believe in, and promote the aphorism ‘Innocent until proving guilty’, That is what makes Australia the ‘free’ country it is today, I would be disgusted to call myself an Australian if it means associating myself with heartless, gutless people such as yourselves. Where is the compassion and empathy??

The Beaudean family are lovely, hardworking people (Teneeka especially).
All she ever wanted was to bring this child into a safe and loving world, now she is stranded in a situation she has no control over and getting slapped in the face with the thought of having her baby taken away from her. How would you feel if that was you?

Exactly right!

Just because I live in Charnwood, does that make me the bottom rung of society?

“…what the hell is a social try-hard?”

Oh come on. This town is full of them. People who live in an old, ugly little brick box of a house, but because the address is Yarralumla they believe it lends them a certain cachet.
People who think that because they’re an EL2 over at DFAT they are masters of the universe.

It’s all just Canberra. We’re (mostly) just public servants. And I think that deep down we know we’re a bit second class. And there’s no-one more class conscious than someone who isn’t quite first-class.

To paraphrase Paul Keating: You either live on Sydney Harbour, or you don’t.

.

Really? I agree with the Canberra attitude towards rival suburbs, and everyone knows that the only thing Queanbeyan has going for it is schnitzel, but what the hell is a social try-hard? Is that one of the people who post on Canberra Goss?

imhotep said :

Indeed. Not all are like this, although I think that most of the strangest people in Canberra will only ever go to work and do their shopping without getting involved with other human beings very often. These types are wickedly self absorbed – quite possibly because they simply can’t stand anything or anyone that challenges their outlook on life. They also seem to make ‘special’ once every 6 month forays into sociability, and go about it very awkwardly.

Seeing them at a bar with a private function on Sunday a lot of these types were out. Noticeably different mannerisms and methods of interaction. Worst tippers I’ve ever seen. Not at all pretentious, just all out weird.

below_average_joe9:59 pm 08 Dec 08

Sounds more like a mix of soap opera names and names with an African-American bent – another byproduct of the American influence on Oz?

I looked about for a random name generator that’d fit the bill, found a bogan one – titled “Australian Yokel”;

http://rumandmonkey.com/widgets/toys/namegen/565/

or for the Laquanda in all of us, the African-American name generator;

http://rumandmonkey.com/widgets/toys/namegen/11612/

For the full effect, the results from both may need to be mingled.

Thanks to the power of the internet, one does need to endure hours of TV to find the perfect moniker for our offspring (or intended offspring!).

It IS actually funny how snooty Canberrans can be about suburbs. I’m sure there are many fine people who live in Hawker, Torrens and even (gasp) Queenbeyan. I KNOW there are some absolute wankers who live in Forrest and Griffith.

I’ve never lived in an Australian city so pathetically class-conscious, nor met so many social try-hards.

Does anyone know who is representing the other accused (ie besides Rosemary Benet)?

I lived near some Bogans when I was growing up. I kid you not the teen brother and sister rooted because the brother caught his sister rooting, so he bribed her so as not to tell mum.
I wonder if Waine and Wayne have done the same?

It’s actually even funnier when people one rung up from the Beau-Deans, living in, say, Hawker or Torrens, name their children foremerly upper-crust names like “Lucinda”, “Cordelia” and “Charles”. Lucinda is now a demi-bogan name as a result!

Ah I went to school with the murder accused at some point, always was a little sht too.

Woody Mann-Caruso7:31 pm 08 Dec 08

I…I…I just…

Instant Mash6:05 pm 08 Dec 08

That makes sense. If my parents named me something like “Ciggy-Butt” I’d probably be a criminal too.

Actually Steven Levitt shows in his book ‘Freakonomics’ that ‘trashy names’ are correlative and not causative of a trashy, criminal life. It’s not so much the name but the circumstances of growing up in a family that tends to choose such a name.

I dont even have to make a joke about these names. I dont think that there is a Smith or Jones even involved with this case. Bogans should not name their children, leave it up to a charitable organisation. I can see it now, this Christmas help a child with bogan parents and donate a new name to these poorly named urchins. You can do your part in saving future generations from Braydens, Jaydens, Heaths, Taneeshas, Shafondas, Leeteeshas, Krystal, Crystal and Kristal. Give a name now and help make Queanbeyan sound a bit nicer.

Jaxon? Saxon? Claxon? Knight Rider?

Either way WE are paying for the baby bonus and she gets free medical and medicine (for withdrawals?) plus accom and meals.

Or, will the bonus go to ACT Corrections who are actually providing a large percentage of what the bonus is aimed at covering?

Maybe the next kid’s name will be Coldblooded Murder?

I bet the new child gets named after alcohol (and they spell it wrong, too). These kreeaytive names get the kid of to a really awful start in life, as anyone who meets them instantly pictures the caravan park, the smoking and the alcohol, the visits by the police…

Anyone got a tissue?

You couldn’t make that stuff up…..

this thread has future ‘flame of the week’ written all over it!

The update proves that truth is not only stranger than fiction, it has a better script writer.

Wayne, Waine and Rozilannie.

Bennie and Tammie both have the same middle name. How cute.

Interesting to see the surname Beaudean – pronounced “Bodine” as in Jethro Bodine from the ’60s sitcom The Beverly Hillbillies. Says it all, really.

Kahlua’s a bit too classy isn’t it????

Taneeka Winfield
Ben Kahlua

Wow, this has “bogan trash” written all over it. The thing that really impresses me is that mum even has a bogan name … multi-generational boganism.

Names were released in the CT today – Cody, Ben and (wait for it) Taneeka.
