Dear rioters,

Have to build house on my block in Gungahlin later this year. Can you suggest a good builder?

That leads me to another question : is there a way to tell a good builder from a bad one ?

I have seen a thread on renovations few months back with a pretty decent response. I thought I might be as lucky.

Disappointed with ADR Homes. I found that they delivered what they promised always LATE. Management and communication aren’t their strong point. WRT quality, I can’t say they are the worst but not the best either.

Deemro Homes – Disappointed

Mark Porreca is good. He built my house back in 2000 and in the almost 9 years I have lived in it I have found not one fault with the construction. He was also very good to deal with during construction. He seems to do everything from little dog boxes (which is all I could afford back then) up to the McMansions people seem to like now days.

Master Homes. A local guy previously from Melbourne who is fussy about his work, and gets things done.

you want it built this year? prepare to pay, or wait – or both…

Stuart Marshall. Does good work, and is easy to deal with. A relative does quite a lot of work through him and recommends him. http://www.marshallconstructions.com.au/

Bob The Builder is pretty good
