As we work through the transition to a new Chief Minister, Andrew Barr has tweeted his congratulations to Katy Gallagher on her election as ACT Labor Leader.

Monday the Assembly is expected to vote to make her the Chief.

Andrew Barr will be the deputy as expected.

UPDATE: Simon Corbell has tweeted this picture from Kat Gallagher’s first function as Labor Leader at Duffy Primary School.

You never know, Katy might well find her niche and do better than you all expect. You never know.

True, she may well hit her straps in this role…………and the world may end on 21 December 2012, Elvis might be seen eating a burger in the Food Court of Westfield Belcompton, and Lady Gaga may turn out not to be a total fake invented by some music executive.

You never know, Katy might well find her niche and do better than you all expect. You never know.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha…………………………….oh dear, this really isn’t a joke – you are actually being serious, aren’t you?

I suppose she was the only choice for the job, when you have no choice at all.

Free kick to Liberals and the Greens…

That they will no doubt put out on the full.

And so my remaining loyalty to ACT Labor is now gone. I can’t stand Gallagher, Barr, that inept tool Corbell, or any of them. If that’s the best ACT Labor has then they are finished.

Free kick to Liberals and the Greens…

I don’t think it matters who is the chiefly now, the damage has already been done and things will only get worse (and I’m an optimist).

Dear oh dear…

Despite the headline, the phrase “…new Chief Minister Andrew Barr…” jumped out of that first sentence at me, and I almost squealed like a little girl.

Praise (deity) that Barr isn’t our new overlord.

The cheekiest poke in the eye for middle class sensitivities would be for Andrew to be made Minister for Families or Minister for Education.

Oh, hold on . . .

Saddle up, Spanky, we’re in for another interesting ride………………………………
