Labor has a campaign!

The ABC reports that Labor has rolled out the big gun of Bill Shorten (*guffaws*) to launch their election campaign here in the ACT.

Aside from some signage for Gai Brodtmann in deepest Tuggeranong, the Greens flyers at the Raiders, and some desultory TV advertising has anyone noticed an election?

Hello, I’d like to vote for President, Governor and anything else that will take my money away from hospitals, schools and the elderly….

Muttsy: sarcasm alert.

The junk mail started yesterday. Couldn’t help but wonder how much was funded by stashed-away electorate funding – a pet hate.

Make me despot for a day – all electorate communications funding (itself an OK institution) would be required to be spent proportionately by the quarter throughout the electoral term, and none would be allowed to be spent within the caretaker period – any not spent at that point goes back. (APH could use it to put plants back into the offices there!)

Anything to mitigate the unfair (some would say unethical) advantages of incumbency.

Saw someone on the bus this morning with a Gai Brodtman flyer – I assume soemone was handing out at Woden.

Also received my “important election information” from Kate Lundy warning my about Mr Abbott and including an application for a postal vote.

Bill who?

How can you forget? He dug those Tasmanian miners out by hand…

I saw something on tv once. Pretty sure it was about the erection, but when I got them they didn’t help.
