Labor re-promising emergency services

johnboy 16 October 2012

How many times can the Aranda and Calwell emergency services facilities be announced? July doesn’t seem so long ago. But it’s an election so here we go:

If re-elected in 2012, ACT Labor will invest nearly $44 million to build new emergency services stations at Aranda and Calwell/Conder.

ACT Labor will also invest more than $4 million to employ an additional six firefighters to respond to complex and dangerous situations. This investment will ensure our emergency services capacity grows to match our growing population and provide the best and most responsive emergency services.

How lucky we will be to finally have someone on staff for “complex and dangerous situations”!
