Ladies you've got some explaining to do...

CityNews has the eyebrow raising news that women in the ACT are more likely to cheat on their partners than anywhere else in Australia.

Anyone want to hazard a guess why?

Hey VYBerlina where are all these women in their 40’s hiding at?? I don’t see them out and about on a Saturday night.

Stuffed if I know…

I’d hazard a guess that they are smart enough to stay away from bars and clubs where most males are in some advanced state of drunken stupor 🙂

Probably. It’s been a while since I done the pubs’n’clubs Saturday night anyway.

I suspect that the resource in question could be adequately tapped using internet dating sites.

It’s exactly how Kinsey faked *his* sex research.

“interviewed more than 2,000 women around Australia”…. what it doesn’t say is that only 3 of the women lived in Canberra and the 58% is 2/3rd’s with a rouding error thrown in 😛 (wild speculation is best kind of speculation)

If they’ve sampled evenly across Australia, we’d expect 33 interviewees in the ACT, which would give a margin of error of at least 17%.

Still depends on the sampling technique – age, employment, etc

Right, hence why I said at least – any bias in the sampling frame would make it worse than that.

Oh they are out. Believe me, they are out. Maybe focus less on the beer and more on keeping your eyes peeled.

They’re all off having sex somewhere.

Perhaps the married men in the ACT need to get off the couch, turn off the footie, and try a bit harder.

According to a number of single mates of mine, single Canberra women in their 40’s are more fun than a food fight at Disneyland.

Dont hide behind your mates, you like MILF, so good for you!!

Nah – happily married to the same hottie I’ve been going out with since we were teenagers!

That’s so romantic, she is looking over your shoulder as you type isn’t she?

The choker chain is getting tighter.

Oh s***, here she comes!

Oh? You are into that sort of stuff too? Awesome.

That’s if you want your fun to come with wrinkles, sag, cellulite and other signs of wear and tear.

Seriously, how drunk does your mate have to get to be able to shag women in their 40s?

It’s not just one mate doing it!

And they’ve both mentioned something about these women ‘trying harder’ – whatever that means…

Depends on the woman really. And the bloke for that matter.

Canberra – down with OPP!

I knew it.

How to lie with statistics – total rubbish with such a small population sampling.

Obviously you’d need to know how the sampling was taken, from what age demographic, are sluts more likely to participate in surveys, etc 🙂

I guess when you get paid for essentially doing nothing, your ethics are already so compromised that cheating on your husband is just another normal way of being a public servant.

I just love it when you talk selection criteria…

Looking at the incredibly detailed article in CityNews, if more than 50 per cent of women are cheating, there must be a lot of men doing it too.  Unless there’s one really overworked pool guy or tennis coach out there somewhere.  Or, of course, they are cheating with each other.

I guess when you get paid for essentially doing nothing, your ethics are already so compromised that cheating on your husband is just another normal way of being a public servant.

I thought the sluts had claimed that term back, meaning you can’t use it any more.

Now does anyone want to hazard a guess as to why that is?

Because the men all have issues caused by their wives cheating on them?

Having lived and worked in other capital cities, my guess is that its due to the seemingly endless amount of Canberran men who target married women for affairs. Yes I am serious. The quickest way to get asked out in this town is to don a wedding band.

Now does anyone want to hazard a guess as to why that is?

Well if the missus does cheat on you, take solace in the fact that women in the ACT are also most likely to have “friends with benefits”.

So you’ve got that going for you, which is nice.
