The Comrade is speaking up to protect all the whales in the ACT in this media release. I agree whaling must be stopped and I’m all for Australia enforcing our laws in Australian waters, but I’m not sure what whales we have here in the ACT that the Comrade is protecting. While Jervis Bay is part of the ACT and does have whales but I’m not sure if the the Comrade has jurisdiction over the the area.

On a side note the Eden Killer Whale Museum informs us that there is only one whale oil product that cannot now be manufactured synthetically, plus everyone should read the story about Old Tom.

interesting use of the word frolic. in a government sense it has a definite legal definition.

appropriate in this instance.

Shame on you all for neglecting this serious issue. Good on Mr Stanhopeless for speaking out against this atrocity!
If anyone is going to hunt our whales, it should be us! You never know when you might get a hankering for whale meat – wouldn’t it be terrible if the Japanese hunting had already depleted our stocks? We’d probably then have to accept another free trade shafting from the USA to get some oily morsels!

Well we could always stock the Lake with fresh water dolphins. That would be a good little tourism possibility too.

Then the CM could enjoy his little frolic all the more.

Now I can sleep at night.

I’ve always wanted to do whale watching tours in LBG, then you can do what the tour boat operators do when there aren’t any whales present…

Get everybody so pissed it’s a memorable occasion and then go back to shore…

The public indemnity on whale watching tours in LBG would be frightening though (especially if the insurers knew that there weren’t any whales and you were just going to get everybody pissed)

The day we see Japanese whaling boats hunting whales in “Australian (Capital) Territorial Waters” will be the day Canberrans can take the leader of our Principality seriously!!

Firing the harpoon would probably capsize the paddle-boat
