Single residential blocks in Wright and Coombs are being released by the Suburban Land Agency for the first time since 2015, offering new homeowners a rare chance to purchase large-sized blocks in the Molonglo Valley.
The SLA said 194 blocks would be made available through the ballot process, with half of them sized at more than 500 square metres. Blocks range in size from 403 sq m to a generous 977 sq m.
It said the release was the final opportunity to purchase a residential block of land in Coombs and one of the last chances to purchase a residential block in Wright.
The Coombs and Wright communities had been designed to incorporate excellent local amenities for people of all ages including the Mingle community development program, high-quality parks and exercise equipment, the Charles Weston School in Coombs and a future non-government school soon to be developed in Wright.
The Suburban Land Agency will host a ballot information expo Saturday, 24 March at Charles Weston School, 80 Woodberry Avenue Coombs to explain the process to potential buyers.
Representatives from across the ACT Government will be on hand to discuss:
- How you can participate in the ballot land sales process;
- The layout and planned inclusions in the northern sections Wright and Coombs;
- Planning and building your home;
- Future education opportunities;
- Mingle community development program.
Presentations will be held at 10am, 12pm and 2pm.
