Last Minute Canberra Chritmas Gifts

Thread hijack but as a Majura MTBer it’s disappointing to hear the Majura Rd expansion is going to eat into Majura Pines mtb tracks so much (as well as the camp to the south and presumably a bit of the winery too.)

Given how much support the govt has given to developing the trails at Mt Stromlo, it’s a bit of a disappointing Christmas present.

4711 is actually a nice, classic cologne. I didn’t notice it there, just lots of lurid, stinky, garish muck pongs. I’m sure Red Door was there. phew. People wear too much perfume these days and most of it is very ill-chosen and leaves the wearer smelling exactly like a toilet.

And that it also generally tastes like s**t plonk – regardless of how much you spend on it! Great for spaghetti sauce tho!

oh, yes. give people wine. perhaps if people asked whether people actually DRANK, they wouldn’t keep giving me wine at christmas. My wife is pretty happy, though.

that said, I do drink occasionally, but will never polish off a bottle of wine in a month.

yass river winery has some good bottles about, but my absolute favorite is the berridale snowy river winery. have to get ab few bottles for some mates there soon.

What do I know about wine I’m really a beer guy! If the person I was buying for liked beer, I would have got them a keg of Zierholz.

(although that being said, I quite like the Kamberra sparkling which I last had a couple of years ago and haven’t seen since)
