Lauren Ingram's 15 minutes of fame rolls on

For an institution purporting to teach (at vast expense) both journalism and public relations the University of Canberra can’t seem to take a trick.

This afternoon Triple J’s Hack program sunk the boot into UC over its handling of student FOI requests and threats to expel journalism student Lauren Ingram for asking them questions they do not wish to be asked.

While some may value someone who’s got some guts and determination, a lot of employers I suspect, including in the very media companies now supporting her, would likely turn her away. Not a team player, likely to make waves, all incompatible with the workplace politics these days.

Nuh, they can just send her out on assignment somewhere and never let her actually come into the workplace. She won’t get into the Canberra press gallery however.
