Laurie “Gandalf” Fisher inherited the best provincial rugby side in the world and turned them into mid-table battlers who no-one wants to play for.

FoxSports report that he’s been given two more seasons.

Carlton sucks again this year, that’s all that matters…

No, I think he looks more like General George A. Custer!

Big Al, at least Nucifora will feel right at home amongst the Auckland Blues; I don’t think you’d find a bigger collection of big-heads and under-achievers than in the Blues.

Maybe the Brumbies need to recruit some League players to solve their problems?

Gandalf? I’d always thought of him as more like Catweazle.

Ahh its just what you get when you have an executive that fall over themselves to pander to a few players ahead of supporting the coach – we used to have one of the best Rugby teams in the competition when we had one of the the best coaching teams – but a couple of players thought that they were bigger than the game and had Nucifora sacked (effectively). End of story. So as an outsider or even a current player – when you know that your tenure with the club is only as secure as the whim of management or a whisper here or there then its only common sence that you would look elsewhere.

We did pretty well clean their clocks in the noose’s last game, and were clearly the best side in the comp that year (hence the home GF)

And the best provincial rugby side in the world for the last few years are the Canterbury Crusaders, as much as I hate to admit it

Call me silly, but coaches don’t drop balls, miss tackles or give away penalties
