‘Prepare to be Unprepared’ introductory Improvisation course

Learn the basic skills that make all group improvised performance possible, plus performance “games” (commonly used in Theatresports shows), should you wish to appear on stage with us.

Improvisation skills are also useful for enhancing acting skills as students learn to fully commit and be ‘in the moment’ in any situation as well as improving their ability to react quickly and handle the unexpected.

If, like many students, performing publicly is not your desire, Impro is still a really fun way to socialise and meet new people or to increase your levels of positivity, creativity and communication skills.

This term the introductory class will be taken by the Artistic Directors of Impro ACT and 2010 National Theatresports Runners-Up – Nick Byrne and PJ Williams.

Start date: Thursday 14 October 2010 @ 7pm

Course duration: 9 weeks (Thursday nights)

Location: Daramalan College, Cowper St, Dickson

Cost: $180

I read the post heading and hoped it would be a course taught by MacGyver… Oh well.

You’re doing it wrong. You’re supposed to cut and paste from other reports and call it ‘lessons learned’ or ‘better practice’.

I am a consultant. I improvise every second sentence!
