The Lemurs have arrived as a part of a regional breeding program, reports ABC News.

“Lemurs are considered near-threatened in the wild,” said senior wildlife keeper Bec Scott.
“They’re found in only one place in the world [in the wild] which is the island of Madagascar.
“At this stage, these guys will probably stay here, but there is a possibility that at some point in their lives they may move off to another zoo to participate in their own breeding program.”
But the twins had a rough start and Ms Scott says zoo keepers were on hand to help out.
“When we came in in the morning, there were two babies on the ground and mum wasn’t paying a lot of attention to them,” she said.
“We’re not 100 per cent certain why, maybe something has stressed her out.
“We decided to intervene temporarily, take the babies out, have a look at them and make sure they were okay.
“Once they warmed up and had a bit of food in their belly these two have started to thrive.”
She says the babies and mum are now inseparable.
