It’s thirsty work being a dog with all of that walking and sniffing to do. So now Canberra’s canines will be able to enjoy a cool drink at local cafes and restaurants thanks to Icon Water’s new Woof Water project.

Launched off the back of Refill Canberra, the Icon Water and ACT Health initiative for humans, Woof Water is rolling out speciality water bowls for dogs.

Icon Water General Manager Davina McCormick said the idea for Woof Water came after the success of Refill Canberra, which provides glass carafes to ACT cafes and restaurants to encourage customers to drink tap water instead of bottled.

“Our carafe program has been a huge success so we thought why not look after our furry friends,” Ms McCormick said.

“We know that Canberrans love their dogs and will often take them to their local cafe, so as part of our new Woof Water initiative we are providing free dog bowls to ACT cafes and restaurants. The dog bowls are heat resistant and made from sustainable bamboo, so they are eco-friendly too.”

Dog friendly ACT cafes and restaurants can contact Icon Water to receive their Woof Water bowls.

“We have some of the best tasting tap water in the country, so there really is no reason to buy bottled water. Think less landfill and more refill,” Ms McCormick said.

ACT cafes and restaurants can apply for the Woof Water bowls and the #refillcanberra carafes in one easy step at iconwater.com.au/drinktap. Icon Water will then get in touch and arrange delivery.
