As inspectors continue to appeal to the community for information relating to a serious case of animal cruelty regarding several abandoned puppies this week, RiotACT contributors Steven Bailey and Alexandra Craig have organised a letterbox drop to help find the culprit.

From Steven and Alexandra:

Please help us to help the RSPCA by letterboxing the suburb of Higgins (and surrounding suburbs) this Sunday from 10am – 3pm.

This Sunday we will be dropping off flyers supplied by the RSPCA into people’s letter boxes.

The flyers will have information that may jog someone’s memory who may be able to help with the investigation.

We will be meeting at the Higgins shops (Higgins Place, between the oval and the shops) where we’ll hand out the flyers, maps, and maybe chocolate!

Even if you can only spend an hour, every little bit will help.

Bring your pets if you like and help us send a message that Canberra is no place for animal cruelty.

When: Sunday 25 January 2015
Time: 10am-3pm
Where: Meet at Higgins shops (Higgins Place, between the oval and the shops)

For more information, see the event Facebook page.

That timing is confusing. It says meet at 3 pm, but the letterboxing is happening between 10 and 3?

Hey Bennop, it’s an editing error – the timing is actually 10am to 3pm, meeting at 10am (not at 3pm as was mentioned).

That timing is confusing. It says meet at 3 pm, but the letterboxing is happening between 10 and 3?
