Following on from yesterday’s wildly popular lewd act burglar video the Canberra Times brings word that fact is far weirder than fiction.

It turns out the accused, Jan Moerkerke (29), thought he was breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s house to leave a “special” message. Instead the camera, left with the video cued to play and a note to press play, was found by a tenant (described as horrified).

Confirming suspicions about the Alexander Maconochie Centre Jan then asked Magistrate Doogan if he could go there instad of the mental health unit. (Apparently the woodwork shop at the prison is bulk ace).

Magistrate Doogan disappointed him.

I’m disappointed in you. First of all – the police officer who decided to put my name on the court records, and then The Riot Act. The police know I have been doing my best for well before this occurrence, and I have just grown since. I don’t know about the repercussions and outcomes of my writing on here, but I really think you people need to look in the mirror. I’ve seen it a lot on the internet that people think it is funny to take advantage of misfortune. It is manipulative, and exploitation. Anyway, I forgive you, and I’ll just prove you wrong. I will make you feel sorry, with my actions before the even, those actions after the event, and me now, with my future actions, will work always towards putting you to shame with my success. I think it would be wise, wiser than you seemed to be at the time, to learn some discretion.

I kind of feel sorry for him after reading that CT article.

But it’s still funny.

Coming to a Youtube near you?

Would I be revealing my naivete by asking for ideas on what the skipping rope might have been for?

Tops article that, johnboy – you should submit it for a Walkley!

“M###e, who represented himself, told the court that all would be revealed soon.”

I thought ‘all’ being revealed was what got him into trouble in the first place! Hahahaha! Poor bugger.

Note to my exes: chocolate works even better than homemade pornography. Send chocolate.
