Zed and Alistair have had a thought bubble on getting credit cards (and presumably debit cards) and myway cards talking to parking machines.
“The days of trying to find enough change for parking could soon be over,” Mr Seselja said today.
“Today’s announcement will make the journey to work more convenient than it is now, and would bring the ACT into line with the many other local councils across Australia that already have credit card parking machines.
“The existing coin operated machines would remain to give people choice, and the technology could be adapted to accept other payment methods such as MyWay cards.”
Mr Coe said 20 of the new machines would initially be rolled out at a capital cost of $210,000.
