Liberals railing against public service cuts

With no apparent trace of irony the local Liberals’ Brendan Smyth taking to the barricades to protest cuts to the public service:

The Canberra Liberals will today call on ACT Labor to stand up for the Canberra community and publicly denounce Federal Labor’s plan to sack Commonwealth public servants. ACT Shadow Treasurer Brendan Smyth said Katy Gallagher should follow the ACT Opposition’s example and write to her Federal colleagues about this important issue.

“The Canberra Liberals wrote to our Federal colleagues strongly urging them against Canberra job cuts, and I today ask the Assembly to back our call for ACT Labor to do the same,” Mr Smyth said.

Brendan’s mastery of cognitive dissonance is a thing to behold.

And as with all his sprays one has to wonder, where would he find the money instead?

“With no apparent trace of irony…”

Gold.

If he was less shameless, he would be railing against the small scope of the cuts when compared with what HIS party plans to do. And if they have anyone other than Abbott at the helm next election, what they WILL do.

It just shows how stupid they think people are.
