Liberals respond to ROGS

While Mr Stanhope had a rosy interpretation of the Report on Government Services Liberal Leader Zed Seselja is taking a more critical view:

Opposition Leader Zed Seselja said today that the Report on Government Services indicated that the Labor Green Government had failed to address key areas of public service.

“Waiting lists are among the worst, if not the worst, in the country,” said Mr Seselja

“The cost of housing our prisoners? The highest in the country. The cost of child care for families already struggling to keep up with the cost of living? The highest in the country.

“This report comes on the back of news that the ACT has the second highest rental costs in the country.

“While Labor and Greens crusade on Federal matters and legacy projects, it is the tax paying families of the ACT that are left behind,” said Mr Seselja.

And the Libs are going to fix all this how?

No doubt by asking Jesus to sort it out for them.

Vote Australian Sex Party. Thank you. 🙂

Can you say “non sequitur”? I knew you could. 🙂
Don’t you mean ‘vote for the Greens’? Because it’s quite obvious that you like to recycle your stereotyping of the Liberals: http://the-riotact.com/jeremy-hanson-enjoying-his-waiting-list-triumph/

You’ll be voting for Katy. Expect a smooth (read bloodless) coup after the budget.

Personally, given the character of our current governing elite, I wouldn’t mind seeing a little blood. Perhaps even some innards.

Well all this can be settled at the next election.

It is simplistic to assess this as a scorecard of the Labor Green coalition. These things like long waiting lists go back a long way and reflect actions and in-actions of the Assembly over many terms. If we keep voting the same people in and expect a different result that is dumb.

Vote them all out and teach them the role is about hard work and serving the community not yourself. All elected officials just get too comfortable when it turns out to be a turn up and get re-elected process. The ACT Assembly is a clear example of that. I look forward to an un-election next time. Can new people be any worse when things like the manipulation of health waiting lists has been exposed and not dealt with effectively. Bad enough for the government. Worse that the response has been so ineffective. Should only the uninsured sick be outraged?

At least a new Assembly will take a little while to move in to that alternative universe politicians all live in.
