ACT Policing is seeking two women who witnessed a theft of cash from a cash register at Marinetti’s Italian Restaurant in O’Connor.
Around 12.40 pm on Thursday March 8 a man and woman entered the restaurant in Sargood Street and removed a sum of cash from the cash register while staff attended to customers.
The two women alerted the staff to the couple who fled the store and entered a silver sedan and quickly left the area.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his late 20s, approximately 175cm (5’9”) tall, with a solid/stocky build, very short, possibly shaved, hair, and wearing a black baseball cap.
The woman is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 170cm (5’7”) tall, aged mid to late 20s, with a medium build and blonde hair tied up in a ponytail.
Police would like to speak to the two women who witnessed the incident and alerted the staff. The women are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au
