Andy has sent in a plethora of photos with this note:

Saturday saw me on a photographic mission to escape Suburbia and check out the ice rink in Civic.

That being seriously lacking in opportunity, I chanced upon these guys called the Limitless Dance Crew doing some busking to raise funds for a trip to New York City.

I’ve not seen any B-boys dancing in public before, but I’ve seen easily hundreds of street performers in Australia and the USA.

What really struck me was that these guys really seemed to be having a good time and they remained like this through the two entire shows that I stayed there for.

With that amount of dedication and energy on a cold day in Civic, it’s hard not to wish them well.

Here’s the slideshow:

Yep. I watched them entertaining the crowd, hamming it up and generally having a good time. They all appeared to be from different ethnic backgrounds too. I wondered how a group like this would get together initially. It would be an interesting story. Although this style of dance is from the US and dance isn’t one of my interests, it’s nice to see that some Australians have taken it up and want to take it back overseas. Good luck to them. Australia needs more young people being active team players, taking risks to follow their dreams.

Scrap all the nonesense about the ‘yoof of today’. I’ve seen these guys performing in Garema Place for the last few weeks and it’s great to see a bunch of guys so passionate about something and clearly have a great time. WIsh them well in raising the money for their trip.
