These days they might sound more like the Beach Boys than the nu-metal trailblazers who brought us Hybrid Theory a decade ago.

But the Entertainment Depot brings word that Linkin Park has added a Canberra date to their “A Thousand Suns” world tour.

Linkin Park have added a one-off Canberra show to their ‘A Thousand Suns’ Tour heading to Australia this December! The band will raise the roof of AIS Arena on December 16.

Tickets on sale 9am Thursday November 25 through Ticketek, with a Ticketek pre-sale beginning midday Tuesday November 23.

Saw them in 2008 at the O2 in London. Damn good show.

I think it was Richard Kingsmill who described them as tanty rock. Much more apt than “nu-metal”.

That song owes a lot to 311.

I’m saddened that so many people are sucked in by the cliché “emotive anthem” chord progressions. Seems every second song on the radio is designed to make you feel all teary-eyed.

What’s got 300 arms and five pubic hairs?

The front row of a Linkin Park gig.

I think you might be giving them a little more credit than they deserve.

This image sums up their demographic best I think.
