For a change the Canberra Times has published something interesting and managed to scoop us on this peice of news from the ABS. According to the stats, Canberrans live longer than our stressed out counterparts over the border, exercise more, and smoke less.

its also comes with a warning, apparently we all drink too much.

Regardless of durians and their varied definitions I think I can summarise the results of this story:

Fruit = no fun
Meat = tastes good
Alcohol = big fun
Fun = Less stress
Less stress = longer life

And someone was paid to research this?

I thought they were devotees of Duran Duran! I’ve been calling myself a Durian all this time and really it means I stink??????

LG, off to buy some deo.

dunno, but I’m told he stinks as well.

I thought Durians were devotees of Jamie Durie.

Thumper,
Durian is what happens when a turd humps a crazy ball. Although some will refer to them as the King of Fruit; they are banned in most public places for two good reasons.
1) They stink like pooh.
2) The taste about as good as they stink.

Durian are both filthy and addictive. The fruit equivalent of cigarettes.

Canberrans who drink too much and don’t eat enough fruit, I salute you!

Jazz,
If you have actually let fresh durian past your lips you are sick sick person. Either that or you have lost your sense of smell…

I agree there is something about eating bananas which is way too phalic (sp?)

I don’t know if this is a bloke thing generally, or more that I might be a bit weird, but I very rarely eat fruit. The reason being is that I feel that eating fruit is a bit effeminate.
