Live music limbo. Investigations follow inquiry.

Joy Burch was talking tough when she released the Government’s response to the inquiry into live music.

A vibrant arts scene is dependent on community and Government support, and I am committed to looking at how we as a Government, and as a community can better support live music in this city.

The pity is that the Government is not, as yet, committed to actually doing anything after years of navel gazing.

Gosh that report is hard to read. Maybe it’s late in the evening but i couldn’t discern any actual action proposed or stance being taken. Sad if it’s been such a complete waste of everyone’s effort.

Here here! Places shut down because of the harrassment they receive from nearby residential and hotel-style complexes. If you don’t want to live amongst the hustle and bustle, traffic, clubs etc, don’t live or stay in the city, or get appropriate insulation.
