Atomic Art

Canberra Artist, David Mankey has launched his Atomic Art onto the web in a big way.

WIth the help of eager friends, David has developed a world class website and an amazing online shopping experience where you can buy his original art and products including posters, t-shirts, mugs, shoes, hats, ties, and much more.

He has even self publsihed three coffee table books of his cool modern art.

Atomic Art is inspired by the mysterious and magical patterns of atoms as seen through modern microscopes. The sublime patterns speak of the subtle energies that lie just beyond our perceptions.

David Mankey has been creating Atomic Art since 1988 and has held many successful exhibitions including a ground breaking multimedia driven show at the National Science and Technology Centre and the Front Gallery.

So, come on Canberrans, give this local artist a helping hand. Go and buy something. I am sure it will make the world of difference to David.

Oh wow, a sailboat!

It’s not a sailboat, it’s a schooner!

very cool.

I’m interested in a pair of the shoes, but they don’t seem to come in Mens sizes from what I can tell. Only kids and womens?

How do you see that? Oh I can never get these things to work….hang on I’m getting something…is there something in the middle? Sort of round? Ah I’ve lost it again.

Oh wow, a sailboat!

My eyes, zee goggles do nothing!

… but seriously, that’s pretty cool, in a trippy-hypnotic kinda way.

Nice simple website, like it.

I adore the Iridium ones, but it would help if there was some info on how he goes about creating them.

Screen printing I gather from the image?
What paints does he use?
Are the pics framed?
Sizes?
That kind of thing.
