A mystery local buyer has set an on-market 2018 ACT residential price record to acquire a bespoke Yarralumla residence amid global competition.
REI Residential Salesperson of the year, Mario Sanfrancesco of Peter Blackshaw Manuka, negotiated the sale of 16 Hill Corner, selling the property for a result just shy of his record $6,030,000 for Westridge House in Banks Street late last year.
The latest deal now gives Mr Sanfrancesco the top three sale prices in the leafy embassy suburb.
Number 16 Hill Corner presents an understated, pavilion style façade, but the standard and luxury of its bespoke interior and extensive amenities saw it draw buyer interest from New York, London, Beijing and Dubai.
The home comprises six bedrooms, five bathrooms, two living areas, four kitchens and kitchenettes, two fireplaces and two double garages. Mr Sanfrancesco said the sale price was an indicator of the international appeal of the residence and the strength of the competition.
