Local fencing GoPro video

Mossrocket just hit us with some fantastic fencing footage:

I’ve been practicing my GoPro skills whenever I get the opportunity – so I was very happy to be asked to visit the Swordplay Fencing Club and see how my little camera could help their coaching technique.

Here’s a video I put together to demonstrate some of the different camera settings and mounting options…

Also – Swordplay Fencing have a “Come and Try Night” on the 25th of July for anyone aged 12 or older:

The thursday night that @mossrocket brought the gopro to woden allowed coaches and officials to see how this technology could be used in competitions or training. Much better than stills for picking up a fencer’s performance with respect to mistakes or positives. The event that was mentioned is one of several to be organised, depending on the numbers the club receives of people who want to give it a go.
