Look at me ma, no hands! (but not speeding)

Golden-Alpine 20 July 2012 39

no hands driving

Just saw this guy driving down Gungahlin Drive.

That’s right on the phone and eating a pie.

I will give him credit for doing the speed limit when most people speed there.

Note: I was a passenger when I took the photo.

Speed cameras are obviously doing their job. I feel so much safer.

It’s OK, he’s got cruise control.

It’s funny, we’ve just had a topic that ended up discussing stupidity in youth, and how lucky so many of us are not to have been killed by the idiotic lapses of reason we displayed growing up (I say that knowing fully well I’m not done yet)

And here we have a wonderfull display of somone who obviosly survived the stupidity of his youth, and decided that his continued living was an opportunity to see how far he could push his luck.

I hope he dosn’t end up like the passenger in Chifley’s commodore, however, I also hope that if he does take himself out one day by continuing to drive like an idiot, that he takes no one else with him!

I’d also be willing to put money on the fact that this guy has complained about Older or younger or international/interstate drivers acting like idiot’s!

The art of steering a motor vehicle with one’s beer gut.

You should try it, once you’ve developed a beer gut.

Flossie Flossie 3:16 pm 20 Jul 12

It’s probably a pie gut.

Oh how I wish the airbag would deploy as he’s eating it, there’s nothing I would imagine worse than scalding pie filling in one’s eye.

I’m not sure what all the fuss is about he obviously has an automated vehicle which are far safer that most Canberra drivers!

While I completley agree, I also need to thankyou for the way you wrote that.

My mind got itself very caught on “Oh how I wish the airbag would deploy as he’s eating it” which is a very interesting mental image on it’s own!

Appears to be driving a Volvo S40/V40, just for added “safety is my main concern” irony.

!

The difference being that pie-Eater can apparently successfully control his vehicle in the manner illustrated without crashing his car.

I once drove 80km without touching my steering wheel. In the end, after 45 mins I got thirsty so had to grab the wheel while I leant back to reach into the esky.

Really?

I assumed a life of trolling entailed very little driving, or leaving your home.

Or was this a video game?

Honestly mate, I’m not going to bite, I doubt that’s true, it’s just another one of your little stories to try and goad the reaction you thrive off, and I’m not interested in your little game!
