Looking for Qi Gong class

I’m looking for a Qi Gong class to join. It has to be northside.

I know of one, but it is pretty pricey ($36/class!, although I’m sure the teacher is excellent).

I’d prefer if there was one that I could try out for a class or two before committing.

Does anyone know of any? A web search didn’t find me much.

Thank you Picter for your advice. I will try the QiGong at Regatta Point. On the advice of my sister in law in Brisbane, who also has replacement knees, she has found qigong to be very therapeutic, and enjoyable, physically and mentally. I cannot do Yoga so this might be what I am looking for. I hope so. My sister in law does the class in a park on Moreton Bay, so doing it near our own beautiful Lakeside should also be lovely.

Falun Gong is actually a high level Qi-Gong practice. Before it was persecuted by the Communist Party in China, it was known, as Master Li Hongzhi says, as the “Star Qigong School”, while participating in the Oriental health Expo in Beijing.

Yes, Falun Gong members give free classes in Commonwealth Park, near the Regatta Point bus stop, Saturdays and Sundays at 1 pm. To learn takes a few sessions of 1 hour. The practice is relaxing and energising at the same time. Anybody is welcome.

Depends on what you want to get out of practicing Qi Gong, but you might like to try practicing with the Falun Gong practitioners which is completely free.
I think they still practice each Sunday in Commonwealth Park near the Regatta point bus stop. (Near the car park)

There was a community notice for one in The Chronicle a couple of months ago. I tried to hold onto it, but have lost it …

My info might be dated, but i think there is a yoga class in Gungahlin somewhere which is yoga/Qi Gong. I think there may have also been something in Flory at one stage… Good luck, be interested to hear what you find out!

O.K…. I’ll ask.
What is Qi Gong?

Kinda like Tai Chi, but more focussed on the Qi aspect.

The Tai Chi Academy includes Qi Gong in their classes, but the rest is learning Tai Chi.
Their first lesson is obligation-free though.

O.K…. I’ll ask.
What is Qi Gong?
