Hi All

We are looking for a caravan park or alike that could accommodate 6-10 families (each with 1-2 kids) in separate cabins, but that has a communal area (ideally in the middle).

Last big trip we stayed at Nelligan but everyone was too far apart and couldnt be accommodated close to each other (which made it difficult when the kids needed to go to bed).

Any suggestions?

Thanks 🙂

I know you’ve explicitly said caravan park or similar, but we’ve frequently done what you’re looking to do just by renting 3-4 houses next to each other, or at least no more than 2-3 apart, at Bawley Point via Surfside Properties.

Seems that most of Bawley Point is holiday accomodation, and it’s easy esp at this time of year to get houses right along Malibu Drive opposite the beaches. We’ve always had the situation where at least one house has a large deck and BBQ area for communal gatherings, and the houses are always larger than caravans and with better ambience. The price, surprisingly, is comparable.

Lake Tabourie Caravan Park has an area like this. It has multiple rooms in a semi circular shape with a large covered BBQ area in the middle of the rooms.

I’ve stayed at the Kioloa caravan park a couple of times and they seem to have a setup a bit like what you want on the right of their main office – Can’t recall the exact number of cabins, but there were a fair few and they had a small BBQ area in the middle.

The park’s dog-friendly too.

When and how much are you looking to pay? We have an apartment at the Coast Resort which has communcal areas, pools, tennis court and is a stones throw from the beach. It isn’t cabin accomnmodation so is not on the cheaper side of things though.
