I have an event that I have been roped into am organising for an executive luncheon soon, where is a good place to hold a function these days? I would like the place to be good for parking, and decent food, as the managers from sydney are attending.

Anyone been to a couple of places that were stand out for great food and service?

The Kurrajong Hotel in Barton is good for parking and has lovely grounds. The Press Club restaurant has been renovated and is quite nice too. I second Bookmark at the National Library.

Mavi (Turkish) at Hotel Realm is ideal 20+

Bookmark at the National Library is awesome

oh, and around 60 people.

How many people?
Is budget an issue? ie corporate or government?
Is it just lunch or is it a working lunch?

any area – we are trying to provide a unique environment for the presenter – somewhere that has a great feel about it.

it is corporate – budget is always an issue, but this is a very special event, at the same time.

lunch with a presenter – senior exec management

Chaiman & Yip or the Ottoman

Check out The Brassey Peter, it meets every criteria you specify and has an ambience that sets it apart from most places.

Hill Station in Hume. Have been there for corporate functions, weddings and just for lunch with friends. Its always been fantastic.
