A LPG 7000 litre tanker has rolled and come into contact with two 5000 litre domestic gas cylinders.
ACT Fire & Rescue has set up a 500 metre exclusion zone as a precaution whilst crews assess the fire.

Correction- The 7000 litre tanker collided with one of the domestic gas cylinders and did not roll as earlier reported.

The gas cylinder is continuing to burn in a controlled manner.
ACT Fire & Rescue will remain on scene until fire has been extinguished.

ACT Fire & Rescue is utilising an Australian Federal Police helicopter to beam live video footage of the gas cylinder to monitor the situation from the air.
ACT Fire & Rescue crews will remain on scene until all gas has been burnt out of the cylinder.
No risk of any major explosion at this time.

Fire continues to burn in one of the gas cylinders in a controlled manner.
The gas is continuing to leak slowly.
ACT Fire & Rescue will remain on scene through the night and have reduced the exclusion zone to 200 metres.

ACT Fire & Rescue fully extinguished the gas bottle fire at Majura around 3 o’clock.
Firefighters then conducted atmospheric monitoring before declaring the area safe.
The scene has now been handed over to Comcare for investigation of the incident

Firefighters remained on scene overnight with only a small amount of fire believed to be still burning.
ACT Fire & Rescue day shift fire crews will take a closer look at the scene later this morning using thermal cameras to determine the exact situation.
A 200 metre exclusion zone remains in place as a precaution.
