Andrew Barr is letting us know about his amendments to the Government Procurement Act 2001 which are intended to make life easier for businesses dealing with the Government.

Hopefully not at the expense of transparency and accountability.

For a minute I thought they had finally come to their senses and abolished self government.

Won’t make it any quicker, I bet.

I’ve been waiting on ORS to process an application to unincorporate since September last year. It still hasn’t begun their internal process.

All the consultancy firms I worked with have ACT govt as a low priority for sales, simply because they are such a pain to deal with.

What a load of crap, all they are doing is fixing up inconsistencies in their poorly written legislation and guidelines.

If the government wanted to fix inefficiencies they could just abolish their procurement agency and start again. They do nothing but hinder the processes through lack of understanding.

Hopefully not at the expense of transparency and accountability.

Yeah right.
