FOCCUS presents Dr Randolph Sparks

A number of ACT chronic disease support groups have united to form a new group called FOCCUS (Focus On Chronic Conditions United Support).
March Guest Speaker
Dr Randolph Sparks– Pain management: What works, what doesn’t.
When: Wednesday 10 March, 7-8:30 pm
Where: Weston Club in Liardet Street (off Hindmarsh Drive), Weston Creek.
Cost: $2, Refreshments available.

Dr Sparks from the Capital Rehabilitation Clinic is an expert on pain management who has a lot of practical experience helping people in chronic pain. His particular interest is on using mindfulness to manage pain, an approach that has a strong evidence base. He is a guest lecturer in the Psychology Faculty at ANU and pain management is one of his research interests.

He’s a qualified psychologist.

So maybe?

I hope this guy is not some sort of quack ‘doctor’ promoting reiki, or some other scam like that.
