The Sydney Morning Herald brings word that the manager of the gay themed Cube nightclub, Maurizio Rao, (of Cube Stabbing infamy circa 2006, although he was eventually found not guilty) has been charged with conspiring to supply an indictable quantity of cocaine.

Maurizio Rao was charged by Kings Cross drug squad detectives who met him and his lawyer at Queanbeyan police station on Tuesday.

After being interviewed, the 34-year-old owner of the popular nightclub in Civic was charged with conspiring to supply an indictable quantity of cocaine.

He was released on police bail to answer the charge in Downing Centre Local Court in Sydney on July 5.

Isn’t a Gay Themed night club one where there are all of the ‘spilt milk’ stains on the floorboards?

What exactly is a gay theme?

Some musical theatre, pink shirts, European hatchback cars, male air hosties and taking your shirt off in a niteclub would be some examples, I guess.

I’m going out on a limb here but, party drugs and gay nightclubs… say it isn’t so.

No gay nightclub, “gay themed” nightclub.

It isn’t so.

On the other hand it’s one thing for dealers to be in the bar, it’s very different if the bar is (allegedly) dealing.

No he is not. He has not crashed a stolen car, destroying a family as yet.

Well, well, well – Those Pacific Islanders never give up do they; it’s obvious that they’ve set him up to go down for this!

Why can’t people realise he’s just a top bloke??????

There’s a difference between protecting yourself after being nearly beaten to death and dealing drugs. I don’t think many people would have made the judgement of him being a “top bloke” after the first case. I certainly didn’t, even though the verdict was absolutely correct.
