May Day Poetry at Manning Clark House

This just in:

Three well-known Canberra poets, Geoff Page, Charlotte Clutterbuck and P.S. Cottier will be reading at Manning Clark House next week, on Wednesday 1st May. The reading starts at 7.30pm, but get there early for a glass of wine and a snack included in your $10 entry fee.

Warning: one of the named poets works out, so obtaining wine may prove to be a challenge.

Manning Clark House can be found at 11 Tasmania Circle, Forrest, and is well worth a look, even without the poetry. Which will, I’m told, be wonderful.

It just struck me that this is on tomorrow.

There’s also a concession rate of $7.

Three poets, wine and snacks.

For some reason I always assumed Manning Clark House was at ANU!

There is a Manning Clark Centre at ANU, but this event is in the house he and Dymphna Clark lived in.

Not to mention Manning Clark in Reed St Greenway

For some reason I always assumed Manning Clark House was at ANU!

This is a regular event, by the way. So, even if you miss this one, there’ll be lots more during the year.
