This bizarre headline from Canberra Times today will surely leave many people puzzled or bemused.
It opens with the following words:
“Raiders five-eighth Josh McCrone will soon wed his childhood sweetheart, making his life’s greatest partnership official.”
In an interesting juxtaposition, there’s another article titled: “Don’t expect Campese to fix everything“. So we don’t have any confusion about who this Campese is they are talking about.
It sorts out the confusion with the following:
“But it’s the on-field combination he’ll resume next year that has legendary Canberra halfback Ricky Stuart excited. McCrone has been a shining light in the Raiders’ forgettable season, accepting more responsibility in the absence of marquee playmaker Terry Campese.”
But still, what a weird way to title an article…
