Melba 7-Eleven rolled again

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery at the 7-Eleven Service Station in Melba last night (Sunday, December 8).

Around 10pm, a man entered the service station on Chinner Street, armed with a large kitchen knife and threatened an employee making demands for cash and cigarettes.

The employee handing over a sum of cash and cigarettes before the man fled the store. He was last seen running towards Kingsford Smith Drive.

The man is described as 180cm (5’11”) tall with a slim build. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black ‘hoodie’ with the hood pulled over his head, purple t-shirt, black shorts and black shoes.

Police are urging anyone with information which can assist in identifying the man, or anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity around Chinner Street, Melba last night to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.

Cruised past there last night at about ten something and there were three cop cars and half a dozen po po out front. Wondered if there had been a drive off without paying….

I wonder if they thought of that, but got caught up dealing with something more important, like someone whingeing about how loud the neighbours toilet flush or something?
