Mens Barber and Musical Instrument Repair in Canberra?

I have two queries which I was hoping RiotAct could help me out with.

Firstly, thanks to Geelongs last quarter capitulation, I am now required to get a mullet. No, not the fish, the haircut (yes, stupid bet to make, I know). My hair is already shoulder length so just needs to bet cut into the style. Can anyone recommend a mens barber either in Inner North or Gungahlin that can help me out?

Secondly, my saxophone (alto) is in need of a service. Nothing major, just some replacement pads and a replacement screw that holds the neck in place. Apart from that just a few screws need to be adjusted. Given I have been ripped off before, I would like to hear peoples positive/negative feedback about anyone in Canberra that repairs woodwind instruments. I have a clarinet that could probably do with a service as well but it is not as bad as the sax.

don’t know relevant or not but i have been watching these videos regarding different haircuts on youtube slikhaartv.
THE BEST hair salon i have seen.

I miss the ubiquitous $5 men’s barbers in Sydney (probably $12 or something now).

I think that if the two were mixed it would be a business that would really do well in Canberra. I would love to get my haircut while continuously listening to the Baker Street sax sound..

While you could go for Baker Street, if you are going all out and getting a mullet, I think some impromptu Careless Whisper would be much better…

I’m sorry…

A Mohawk might be more appropriate…

After I get the mullet it is quite possible I’ll be in need of a new girlfriend as I don’t see my current one being too pleased. If anyone knows of any girls aged 20-25 that are into guys with mullets let me know…..

Try the Chisolm or Charnie taverns

Or any Centrelink office.

Yep, Dirk’s the one to go to (for the sax). His website is http://tritone.net.au/

Hmm, mullet and a saxophone, eh? Is that you, Wilbur Wilde?

This is why I follow RA. You could travel a long way, for a long time, before finding this dual dilemma.

I remember in the 80’s and early 90’s that you couldnt hear a song without a sax solo in it. I think that it was the Revolting C##ks that killed the sax movement when they covered Rod Stewarts “If you want my body”.

And Enrique is right, a true mullet is done at home because it is a short, front and sides. Or……Business up front and a party out back. Just dont get one of those bizzare back of the head “shithawks”, It is like a mowhawk but it is shit.

You’re doing it all wrong.

A true mullet is done at home by the missus using either a pair of blunt scissors or a set of clippers in need of a good oiling!

For that real authentic feel, ask her to wear a pair of ugg boots or moccasins while she does it and get her to swear at you profusely each time you wriggle or move.

Dude, do not short change yourself, find some time and go visit Stan’s Hairdressing (not sure if this is the name), he located at Tuggeranong’s Hyperdome.
Stan is a proud wearer of (possibly Australia’s longest) mullet of all mullets. He will give you a nice mullet, this may even get your pic in a hall of fame on ratemymullet dot com.
Good luck and please post a pic of your mullet once it is done on riotact.

Dirk in Brandon/Ainslie is where most people who play the sax or flute that I know go to. Davis wheeler music in Phillip also will send your instrument to a local repairer
