Bullet Train for Australia’s Senate Candidate Michael Lemmy has gotten his answers in, check them out below.

Candidates, the readers of RiotACT are your voters and they have questions for you! If you’d like to answer those questions and prove you care what your voters think then email us at contact@the-riotact.com.

You can find the questions here.

1. What are your views on euthanasia?

The Bullet Train for Australia Party has no official position on any other policy areas apart from High-Speed-Rail (HSR), Bullet Trains, Very Fast Trains, Fast-rail and related topics.

2. Do you support a High Speed Rail Link between Sydney/Canberra/Melbourne?

As a candidate for the ACT Senate HSR is my number one priority.

3. Are you comfortable with the distribution of wealth in modern day Australia?

The Bullet Train for Australia Party has no official position on any other policy areas apart from High-Speed-Rail (HSR), Bullet Trains, Very Fast Trains, Fast-rail and related topics.

4. Recent polling (Auspoll) shows housing affordability to be a critical issue for a majority of Australians, with 84% of respondents saying it was important to them or their families, putting housing affordability ahead of issues such as education, border security, the NBN and NDIS.

The same poll also revealed that 84% of respondents also believe that Australia is not performing well on housing affordability.

Australian Governments are failing badly on this issue of critical importance to Australians.
What would you do to improve housing affordability?

Housing afford ability is inextricably linked to settlement patterns, a HSR would open up regional areas and alternative places to live outside major metropolitan areas and contribute to alleviate the high house prices.

5. To me the NBN seems like a great idea, can you tell me why you think it’s ace/a dumb idea.

The Bullet Train for Australia Party has no official position on any other policy areas apart from High-Speed-Rail (HSR), Bullet Trains, Very Fast Trains, Fast-rail and related topics.

6. Do you think cyclists should be registered?!

The Bullet Train for Australia Party has no official position on any other policy areas apart from High-Speed-Rail (HSR), Bullet Trains, Very Fast Trains, Fast-rail and related topics.

7. What is your position on gay marriage?

8. Would you be willing to cross the floor on matters of strong personal conscience or of significant concern for your electorate?

Yes, if it concerns HSR and getting it sooner!

9. What are your views on the NSA collecting private information of Australian citizens and corporations, of the Australian government’s participation in similar programmes, and of the apparent silence of Australian politicians on the matter?

The Bullet Train for Australia Party has no official position on any other policy areas apart from High-Speed-Rail (HSR), Bullet Trains, Very Fast Trains, Fast-rail and related topics.

10. We hear so much negativity about the opposition when election time rolls around– what three things do you consider to be positive about any of your opponents and why?

The point of this party is to provide a voice to those who want HSR in Australia. If you start voicing your beliefs on other non-related issues you start to dilute your support and, as a result, you reduce the impact of your case in Canberra.
Michael isn’t there to run the country. He is there to give voice to those who are passionate about a single issue and have found the major political parties are not giving them what they want.

I was gonna place the Rise Up imbeciles flat last. Having seen this nonsense though, I can only conclude that they’re doing this for a gee-up, or to win a bet or something.

I wish it was possible to vote “I want all these dimwits to be equally last” somehow.

Rise Up though will actively try and make our lives worse. These guys will do it passively until a high speed rail is built.

True enough. Rise Up are staying at the bottom of my list, and the nice lady from the sex crew is still at the top.

I understand what he’s going for, but is a photo of himself actually standing on the train-tracks really the best idea?

That’s the euthanasia policy in action.

I have no official position on these muppets – unofficially, these answers are fine from the party. Can we get some answers from the individuals now please (or are they all robot trains running the same software)?

I prefer Lemmy as lead singer and bassist with Motorhead

Haha spot on Snarky. Quite the facepalm, this, and it’s not like all of your competition are good at what they do either!

Your photo makes you look a bit aggro because you’re staring into the sun and baring your teeth, and doesn’t flatter your thinning scalp either… hope you learn from your huge mistakes Lemmy.

Shut up. He’s cute. Nice smile. I didn’t notice the thinning hair. Care to critique John-Boy’s appearance?

Look, I’m very keen to find a credible alternative to Lib/Lab to vote for this election, but honestly Michael, did you seriously fill this questionnaire out, read it over and think “Job well done – this’ll nail that 4% for us!”?

Why would anyone at all waste a precious vote on a group that resolutely refuses to acknowledge anything beyond one very narrowly defined hobbyhorse? “Bullet Train” have done their dough, I reckon – can’t even bring myself to wish you luck…

Does this mean that if you’re elected Senator for ACT, you will abstain from voting on issues not related to High-Speed-Rail (HSR), Bullet Trains, Very Fast Trains, and Fast-rail?

I accept that it’s a one-issue, protest party, but gee, at least he could answer #10!
