Good on Michael Milton – not only has he excelled in his chosen sport, he has done it against so many odds. His achievements show true perseverence. Also good on bev orr – she works tirelessly for children and deserves this recognition.

tag line worthiness is determined by whether or not you remember to nominate it in a month’s time when we call for submissions again.

“Sydney media blame George Gregan for not winning ACT Australian of the Year.”

Classic, JB new tag line?

Sydney media blame George Gregan for not winning ACT Australian of the Year.

You should have just lied on the application and said he was a one-legged lesbian with a commitment to human rights.

Or services to diving!

should have tried for being a man whore nic. or the best smile in rock n roll…

I will always remember driving along and seeing a guy on a bike pedalling madly with some sticks hanging out of his backpack. I thought to myself that something didn’t look quite right, and then I realised that he only had one leg. Good work Michael

What a disgrace! I nominated Lindsay from Kingswood Factory for services to Alcoholism and obviously he came no-where.

It seems to be the normal mix of the popular and the hard working. Some of the stuff that Michael Milton does is freaky, plus he is a great ambassador for Canberra and Australia.

Love the title “Local Hero”.
