Million Paws Walk wants your registration

The RSPCA has opened registrations for the Million Paws Walk which will be held on Sunday 17 May.

If you’ve got a sociable dog it can be a very fun day going for a medium length walk around the central basin of Lake Burley Griffin.

I can’t say I’ve ever bothered with the registration, but the RSPCA seems to prefer it if you do.

My Mum worked for RSPCA for nine years and the MPW is their biggest fundraiser all year. I really encourage people to register prior to their walk – wouldn’t want to just turn up and participate and ‘forget’ to donate would you?

Well done on the free publicity JB, I’m sure if you removed the reference to registration being optional it would be even more generous!

Poor form. The whole point of the day is to fundraise for the RSPCA and to get their message out in public. $15ish dollars is NOT a massive entry fee!

Or maybe I’ll speak truth.

Free publicity is always good, but maybe taking down the part that suggests that registration is optional may net a better result for the RSPCA.

I don’t believe you dodged paying for a fundraising day, that’s terrible.

Not only do I chip in, I give them acres of free publicity.

I’m sure they do prefer it… seeing as it’s a fundraising day! 🙂
