I am looking at Hiring a mini-skip for a week or so but have heard mixed reports on who is good or who are pathetic.

I have aloso been told that there is quite a large variance between companies and the charges that they charge.

What experience have other Riot ers had in the past whether good or bad?

Recently I used skip hire service of CUT price Skip. They are really of what they say. Price is fixed, but got discount on one week skip bins services. They were on time. Workers are very polite. Happy to use their Canberra skip hire service. For user friendly I am drooping the link https://www.cutpricegroup.com.au/cutpriceskips.html . Visit them once to get to know the awesome service. Best of luck folks.

Used Capital Waste Skips quite a few times. Good price, good service, no dramas.

Just hired a 3m3 skip from Capital Waste Bins to clear the garden, they were the cheapest one we can find ($200). We ordered it on Friday and it was delivered that evening, so may be they have improve? They did take awhile to collect it though, we actually have to call them to make sure they are not going to charge us extended hire! But overall, no fuss.

I would recommend A1 bins (look under rubbish removers in yellow pages).
They were great.

We used Skippy bins when we were moving our business and had a rather unfortunate experience.

We arranged to have our Skippy bin emptied on a particular day but when it came to the pick-up a whole bunch of parked cars had blocked access to the bin and it could not be removed.

Long story short story I got into a screaming match with the boss and ended up paying a lot extra for it. If it weren’t for the bosses attitude I might have considered using them again.

Thirding you give Capital Waste Skips a miss.

Out of curiosity, I checked the prices and Skippy are a good deal cheaper.

I second Skippy Bins.

No problems here. It was a year ago and can’t remember the specifics but from memory I chose them because they were slightly cheaper.

I also used http://www.skipbins.com/ and they were prompt/reliable. Not sure they were the cheapest, but sometimes you get what you pay for.

We used Skippy Bins last year and they were fine. I recall also they were also at the reasonable end of the price range.

We also had issues with Capital Waste Skips late last year – time of delivery & pickup not as discussed + extra charges. I wouldn’t use them again.

I used these folks: http://www.skipbins.com/

Not sure how it compared on price, but I had no problems and they recycle stuff for you also.

Capital Waste Skips annoyed me no end. Booked it for a Thursday and took Friday off to start throwing things out for the weekend move. The bin arrived late on Friday despite numerous phone calls and promises it would arrive ‘soon’. Meant double work piling stuff on footpath then having to put it all in the bin in the dark on Friday night. They then took over a week to pick it up which did not go down well with landlord and new tenants moving in during the week. This was two years ago now so they may have improved or I may have been unlucky! Rant over…

From memory it also depends what size skip you want and how long you want it for – some places are cheaper for small skips but more expensive for big ones, and some places are happy to let a few days slide here and there. Last one we had was a few years back, Skippy Bins, price was ok but the bin itself was ready for the scrap heap!
