ACT Policing is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 12-year-old autistic boy who went missing from Deakin today (Monday, August 26).

Kasun Napagoda is described as Indian in appearance, with short dark hair.

He was last seen wearing a dark blue fleecy school uniform top with the school emblem located on left hand side (as pictured). He was also wearing dark blue track suit pants and runners.

Kasun has autism and does not speak. He has no awareness of road safety and has a fascination for water. He also has a tendency to wonder into people’s backyards.

Anyone who may have seen Kasun or knows his whereabouts is asked to contact Police Operations on 131-444.

UPDATE:

Please be advised that the missing boy has been located safe and well. Police thank the public for their assistance in this matter.

This has been a multi-agency response and ACT Policing thanks the ACT Fire and Rescue and SES for their efforts.
