She is a very friendly gentle much loved family member and her disappearance has caused much heartache.

Hmmm. You might want to get it a pregnancy test.

for a desexed cat??

Burmese may look soft and cuddly and harmless, but they’re no less clever than their brethren. There’s no way of knowing if this one paid off the vet in order to get its bits left intact until it’s all too late.

Fantastic. I can imagine your relief – the days that she was missing must have been awful.

If I were you I wouldn’t feed it for another week to teach it a lesson.

My cat once went missing for 4 days. She’d been locked under the neighbour’s house after the door had been left open and later closed. The neighbour told me she’d been hearing meowing for days before she eventually figured out she’d locked a cat under her house. She never was a terribly clever woman.

Suggest you ask all your neighbours to keep a look out and also consider wandering around your neighbourhood in the still of the night when you are more likely to hear your cat.

We had one missing for three days. Must of been locked in someone’s shed or some such. Don’t know how loud he was while he was locked up but, boy, the whole street must have heard him once he got out.
We heard his meowing from as far as the back street as he bolted home.

I read the title as ‘Lost car in Kambah’ at first..

Hope you find her – possibly somewhat of a harder task given the rural nature of the area that surrounds that portion of Kambah.

Nonetheless I will google the breed to get an idea of what to look for and will keep an eye out in my travels.

thanks guess that’s the sort of help I was hoping for. Thank you

fair enough point taken just a little tense losing a (albeit 4 legged ) family member. Sorry

do I think you’re just sitting back? no. But you gave us no indication as to what you have or have not done and they were just ideas what you could do. (Gosh – pardon me for not being a mind reader…). If you’ve done all that, i would’ve saved my fingers, but you didn’t say.

I hope you find her – but there’s no point getting huffy at readers here….

and microchip is current and correct!! She is used to the outdoors but rarely left the yard!

stolen? give her time.

Is it an indoor/outdoor cat? or indoor only? If she’s only used to inside, the big wide world can either be very exciting, or very scary.

She could have wandered into next door’s yard and slipped into a shed or garage unnoticed. If she’s friendly, perhaps she’s just out on a mission. Does it have a collar with an ID tag on it with a phone number?

Is it microchipped?

If someone responsible finds her and takes her to a vet you will get her back. I wrote on the last lost cat thread (sprinkles i think it was just last week) that we found a cat that had been missing for 6 weeks).

Do up a flyer with photos and take it to every vet within a 15 km radius and ask to stick it on the wall. Take a photo of her to the rspca in case she comes in to them too. Saying “a lilac point burmese” to someone who thinks of cats in only black and white or tabby doesn’t mean anything to them.

Shove up photos/posters at your local shops. Ask all your neighbours in your street – and in the streets behind your house if they’ve seen her and whether they’d keep an eye out for her.

How about you tell us what you’ve done to sit and find her yourself.

What help do you expect from us? to all go out to Lyall street and start looking for you? If we live in Murrumbateman, its not likely she’ll get out to here is it…

Do you really think I am just sitting back and expecting everyone else to do the work?? Posted notices, put up posters contacted neighbours, vets,RSPCA,etc. was just wondering if any other things could be done that I hadn’t thought of!!!!

ps – forgot to say – walk around your streets at night calling her name and giving her her food command. If its tapping on a tin, so be it – she could hear it and come dashing out.

Hi Tony. Good luck with finding your cat. I once lost a cat for a few days and found it poking it’s head out of the local storm water drain 3 blocks away. Google Maps shows a big storm water drain thingy at the intersection of Barrit Street and Allchin Circuit. It’s worth wandering down there with a can of cat food and a torch. Also, consider leaving cat food out in case your cat is hiding.
I presume you have checked with all the cat shelters?
I hope you find your cat.

Thanks for that haven’t checked there as she was never a wanderer. Thinks more likely (unfortunately) that she’s been stolen. But certainly have checked with RSPCA,vets, etc. Plus the flyers and posters at local shops…oh well still hope… thanks for the thoughts

I saw a flat cat (kind of like a flat pack but different) right next to lanyon shops, looked more red than any other colour but it could be yours??

I know it’s upseting when a pet goes missing, but you’re a bit demanding for someone who wants help finding something you lost.

Becides Maryanne probably has it, she wants a cheap cat now.

C’mon surely there is some help out there??
