The ABC has a bit on the flouncy haired Drew Mitchell mulling over coming to play in Canberra with his special friend, Matt Giteau.

“It’s an option and it’s an option worth looking at,” he said.

“A big part in my reasoning in coming over here was to play with Matt Giteau.

“Being here for going on three years now, I’ve obviously become quite close to him.

We discussed this last night in the podcast. But do the Brumbies really need another outside back? Especially one who struggles to score more points than he ships? Would the money and space in the squad be better spent on a gun forward?

Ill take that as an answer.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

Does it strick anyone else as a little bit odd that Mr Mitchell is considering following one of his team mates; presumably deserting the however many are left in a team?

What does “quite close” mean in this context?

Are allegations of flouncy hair a hint?

Let’s leave that as an exercise for the reader eh?

Maybe we could use him for training. He’d be good at giving our guys practice at picking up loose balls.

Can we take Drew to supplement our bench?

I think this has a lot to do with Mitchell’s agent trying to drum up interest in him. He may well want to come to the Brumbies, but they don’t need him.
